“I was struck by an underinsured motorist in Cleveland in summer 2024. While I was being treated in the hospital for my injuries my wife was panic stricken as she had no idea where to turn. Cleveland police were not helpful and didn’t arrive on the scene until well after everyone had left, they seemingly had very little interest in holding the motorist accountable. Ken Knabe’s name came up as being an experienced bike attorney. Most of us avid cyclists in the area have heard his name before, but only now do I fully understand the reasons behind his legendary status in the bike community. Ken jumped in right away as soon as my wife called while I was still in the hospital and not able to address anything on my own. Once I had surgery and was released from the hospital, insurance companies did not want to pay. Ken was able to step in and get them to pay, got my medical bills covered, property damage (bike and equipment) replaced, and a little extra on top. I highly recommend Knabe law firm if you’re victimized in an accident and left with a bike related injury. Additionally , make sure you have uninsured motorist coverage on your insurance policy!”

“In July 2023 while cycling on a road I was hit by car a driven by an older gentleman. Fortunately he stopped as well as other drivers to provide assistance. I was transported by ambulance with life threatening injuries. I was hospitalized for a week before being released home.
After numerous unsuccessful attempts to contact the driver’s car insurance, and having talked with our insurance, my husband and I decided we did not have the knowledge or patience to navigate the quagmire of legal and insurance. Hence, I contacted various serious bicycle friends and shops and one name was continuously mentioned: Ken Knabe.
Ken Knabe is a known local bicycle accident lawyer as well as a bicycle advocate and twice published author on bicycle safety and rights.
We called Ken and he came to our home in Sagamore Hills from his office in Lakewood. Something he would do numerous times. Each step of the process-and it was a process-was explained in terms that I could understand the Why, When and How.
Ken helped my husband and me thoroughly document my injuries and resulting limitations and/or changes in my body. Things I never would have thought of. I’m grateful for his expertise and direction.
Never having had a lawyer before for any reason, hiring one was scary (almost everyone has a terrible lawyer story). That was not our case. “After I was involved in a bicycle/vehicle accident, I was referred to Ken Knabe by a friend. This case involved both property and bodily damage. “A car hit me while I was riding my bicycle in Shaker Heights, Ohio. Friends recommended Attorney Ken Knabe, who I hired.
